In March 2018, Yokosuka Telecom Research Park Inc, Yokosuka city and YRP R&D Promotion Committee jointly started a new project titled “Yokosuka x Smart Mobility Challenge” aiming to create new businesses related mobility, invigorating local communities and solving social issues.
Yokosuka x Smart Mobility Challenge‘s final goal is to achieving Smart city.

Under the initiative of mayor of Yokosuka city, industries, government and academia collaboration
announced “Declaration of Yokosuka Smart Mobility” to achieve Smart city.

Yokosuka x Smart Mobility Challenge’s mission is to provide environment and support for companies in taking on solving challenges in mobility and vitalizing regions by implementing new mobility services in society.
